Kena berani mencuba

After 3 times, it is confirmed that red velvet is not something I like. Although Puan K's one tasted better than those in Coffee Bean but still my taste buds just didn't get it. I just don't know what is the taste of the cake except for the cheesy toppings. At least I've tried kan.

Talking about trying ni kan, it reminded me of my roomies masa kat Intan Bukit Kiara. She loves to eat those green snacky things. I think seaweed snack kot. Tengok dia makan macam sedap sangat so I try a bit. A bit as in very small bite. Adalah dalam secubit kot. Eeeee rasa dia memang pelik lah. Don't know how to describe. Ok maybe because it's my first time kan so I took bigger piece and right after putting it in my mouth aje, terus run to toilet and brush my teeth and tongue. Cannot help it la. Rasanya begitu pelik dan tidak dapat diterima. Thank God we have toilet in our room. If not berapa lama la terasa-rasa that weird thing in my mouth menjelang nak sampai toilet kan.

Same goes when we (Hanim and me) went to Seoul Garden. I've tried the korean sauce and after 2nd times memang la tak boleh nak terima jugak. It tasted like spoiled sauce aje. Yuks. As for the kimchi, I tried twice too and although it still taste weird but acceptable la. Maybe after few more times I can develop a liking for it. Kata nak kawin ngan orang Korea kan. Kenalah pandai makan kimchi. Hahaha.....

For every new food introduced, I mesti nak try few times dulu. Yelah sometimes first time tu the taste buds baru nak berkenalan so can't really accept it yet. Kalau dah sampai  2-3 kali pun tak mesra lagi then thats about it la. Memang tak makan dah. But there are foods yang sekali cuba terus suka although sebelum tu macam geli aje.

When I was much younger (in primary), I saw a dark bottle in the fridge. So I asked Mak.
"Mak, apa dalam botol ni?"
"Budu"
"Apa" Berudu? Eeeeee......"

Tersilap dengar punya pasal terus tak makan budu. But having many good friends coming from Kelantan during my uni days, membuatkan I suka makan budu. Suka bukanlah sampai tahap wajib ada but boleh la nak makan. Makan dengan ulam ke, letak dalam nasi kerabu ke.

Then during one of my outstation job in Kedah in 2007 kalau tak silap, my uncle Pak Teh brought me to a restaurant and I heard him ordered lidah goreng. Terperanjat I dengar ok. Eeeee how la the lidah would looks like and taste kan. Sebab dulu masa uni days, I selalu pegi pasar malam Jalan TAR and kat sana ada banyak gerai yang display lidah ni. Banyak and terjulur-julur atas meja tu. Geli ok. Ada lalat-lalat plak tu. So memang I geli la nak makan lidah ni. Then bila sampai aje the dish I tengok ada macam daging yang dipotong kecil and ada kacang panjang sekali. So I told myself that anggap ajelah macam daging. Jangan fikir sangat pasal lidah tu and makan aje. Sekali amik nak. Sedap ok. Terus suka. Hehehe.... Same goes with sup ekor. Mula-mula dengar dulu geli. Memang tak teringin nak cuba tapi entah macam mana satu hari tu try and terus suka until today.

I wouldn't mind trying new things tapi tu la. Kadang-kadang tekak ni tak boleh nak terima walaupun dah cuba beberapa kali and orang lain dok kata sedap...sedap... Ada banyak je lagi benda yang I haven't try yet. Antaranya ialah sushi. Semua orang kata sedap tapi I belum la try lagi. So sape nak ajak I makan sushi? Hehehe.....
