Pavlova

Same with shepherd's pie, I have never had a pavlova before so am not sure how it should taste. Tapi sebab ianya sangatlah famous and nampak macam senang la jugak nak buat so tak salah nak mencuba kan. Hari tu entah kenapa I teringin sangat nak makan pavlova. Padahal bukan pernah makan pun. Entah pape je. So I googled recipe, beli bahan and buat eksperimen. I thought I la yang kuno banyak tak tau tapi rupanya ramai je yang tak tau pavlova, macaron, apple crumble semua tu. So tak kuno la kalau tak tau eh. Hehehe......

So this is pavlova

The ingredients. Took the recipe here but I made half of it

Beat the egg white until soft peak. Add in sugar, one teaspoon at a time

Kalau terbalikkan tak jatuh ni. Dah jadi macam ni, fold in cornstarch and vinegar

Spread the meringue atas baking tray yang dialas dengan baking paper

Kat tengah tu buat lembah sikit and bake for one and half hour at 140C

Dah sejuk, letak whipped cream and fresh fruits and walla boleh makan dah

My pavlova is not pretty as those yang I tengok online. Me and deco-mendeco ni memang fail ye. I just cut the fruits and letak aje macam tu. Belasah je lah labu.... Later kalau I buat lagi in which entah bila la tu, maybe I boleh belajar susun buah tu kasi nice sikit eh.

My verdict, pavlova is way too sweet for me. Although I dah kurangkan gula but still sweet. Kena make sure each bite kena ada buah sekali so that the sweetness are balanced by sourness of the fruits. Sedap memang la sedap tapi bab manis sangat tu memang potong lah. Bak kata one of my cousin kalau ada benda-benda manis ni; kuih potong kaki ni. Hehehe......
