Kalau ikut kata badan, I won’t be in office today. My body are aching all over. Ni semua semalam punya pasal. I can’t sleep at all last night. Bangun pagi ni, punyalah susah nak gerak. Haish tua sudah ini orang.
Yesterday, being the only lady among 40 men, memang I got excused from doing few stuff but then again bukan semua ok. I still have to do the carrying part and the laying part. One hose weighted 20kg. Nearly half of my weight and I have to jinjing, bimbit and pikul half of my weight single handedly ok (oklah tangan kiri ni adalah tolong sket masa bimbit and pikul tu but jinjing? Satu tangan aje ok). Dah la badan ni lemau due to lack of exercise. Mau tak meraung otot-otot ni hah.
The training kick off with some talks first. During break tu kami dijamu dengan nasi dagang yang sedap. I makan tak la banyak tapi cukup untuk mengcrampkan perut later. Sesi seterusnya teknik membawa hos. Kena buat 3 barisan and I kene duk depan sekali. So start off dengan jinjing dulu. Rasa nak terlerai aje bahu ini menjinjing hose seberat 20kg itu. Jinjing 300 feet, patah balik (still jinjing ok) and tukar posisi bimbit pulak. Juga for 300 feet, patah balik and pikul plak. Since I can’t put the hose at my shoulder on my own, adalah bombaman yang tolong. Hah pastu I lah juara you. Yeehaaa jalan laju-laju coz seriously I memang dah tak larat gila masa tu, fikir nak cepat habis aje. Kemudian baris kedua pulak sambung diikuti dengan baris seterusnya. I was shivering all over then sebab badan terkejut kena angakat berat. Even though we had some stretching before the exercise still it’s not enough. Stretching sikit-sikit tu apalah sangat kan. Cuma nak elak cramp aje tu.
Selesai bawa hose, kena bentang dan gulung pulak. Yang ni I memang last la coz masa nak bentang tu, the hose keep tersangkut at my left hand (sakit gila ok) thus kena stop a few times to adjust. Dah bentang kena la gulung balik kan. Penat weh.
Exercise 3 was on menyambung hos. 1 team ada 3 orang; 1st man kena lari 300 feet and start bentangkan hos from there. Or was him to wait for the 2nd man? Ntah la tak ingat dah. 2nd man kena pass the male coupling to the 3rd man and bentangkan hose. Pastu kena attachkan the female coupling with the male coupling of the 1st man tadi. 3rd man kena hold the hose and help to straightened it. Dah bentang tu, gulunglah balikkan. Sape jadi 1st man memang penat lebih la. As for me, I jadik the 3rd man aje (man ke?). Patutnya 3rd man kena jadi 1st man later tapi as the only lady, bombaman to excusedkan lah I. Oh terima kasih sangat-sangat coz obviously dia mendengar kata hati ini yang dah tak larat dah nak pikul hose tu.
Finished that we went for lunch break pulak. I was so exhausted that I lost my appetite. Makan beberapa suap aje and that’s it. Bagus jugak kalau selalu macam ni kan. Boleh la cepat kurus. Hehe sempat lagi tu. Lepas lunch break, buat kawad hose basah pulak. Masa beratur tu I was the 2nd one tapi one of the bombaman tu suh I jadi 1st one. Sebab 1st one tak payah pikul hose lagi. Lari bawak nozzle aje. Wah best tu tapi kena lari 900 feet and jadi branchman ke ape namanya. Haish kenapa banyak lupa ni? Penat sangat kot. And I was on the 1st team so lepas tu boleh la berehat. Sambil berehat tu I snap la sana sini. Pergh nak focuskan camera tu pun terketar-ketar ok.
Overall I dapat kenal few new staff dari Bahagian lain and refresh back things I learn masa kat KKB dulu. Tapi mengenangkan kesakitan badan ni memang rasa tak mo buat dah. Ni nak type entry ni pun jenuh menahan sakit belakang ni. Kesakitan ini actually served as a reminder that; I’m getting old and so does my body so have to act like old people la jangan ingat diri tu muda aje and belasah je buat semua benda lepas tu sengasara sakit sana sini dan jugak kena rajinlah buat exercise. Sebab lack of exercise pun turut menyumbang pada sakit sana sini ni.
Dah la kena rush to KL after work today to attend another wedding. Aduhai….

Wah teringat masa DPA pulak. Tapi yang ni banyak senang juga sebab tak perlu pakai uniform dan bawak BA.
