Earth Hour 2010

I had so much fun these last few days. Kecoh tak hengat punya. Anyway, last Friday we (Shikin and me) went to redeem our Earth Hour T-shirt from Alamanda during lunch break. We planned to go to Pasar Tani in the evening but it was scrapped and went to Alamanda (again!) instead. En. Afnan and En. Nasrol joined in too. I guess they wanted to have a karaoke session but since I’m not going, it was changed to either bowling games or movie session in which I opt for the latter coz I don’t play with balls, remember.

Since GSC Alamanda ni tak banyak choice movienya so have to tengok aje apa yang ada. The only choice we had was Green Zone. Dah la duduk depan sekali. Hampeh betul but the movie was ok lah. Like I always thought America ni sangat licik and very good in planning and executing their conspiracy to topple down anyone they want. Shikin enjoyed it too but yang dua orang tu tido. Boleh? I guess heavy theme movie is not for them la.

Anyway on Saturday we went to Alamanda around 5pm to redeem our meal voucher pulak. When we arrived at the concierge, peoples with Earth Hour T-shirt dah start gathering but not queuing yet. At first we waited just beside the concierge but then I thought nak beratur nanti kena jalan sikit so it’s better to just wait right in front of the line kan. Right when we stand in front of that line aje, terus ramai-ramai orang datang beratur kat belakang. Pergh nampak sangat kitorang ni sangat kiasu to be the first in line. Hehehe…. The concierges pun macam terperanjat tengok tetiba ramai beratur sedangkan it was only 5.10pm and they will only start giving away the voucher at 5.30pm. To kill time, we took photos and laugh and laugh and laugh. Gila kecoh betul.

Shikin went first and I’m the 2nd one. Both of us got Starbuck voucher worth RM10 and Manhattan Fish Market voucher worth RM40 on the condition it was to be redeemed on the same day. At first we invited En. Afnan and En. Nasrol to enjoy the free meals but both had some other thing to do so we have to cari kawan-kawan lain pulak and I tell you, nak belanja makan pun susah juga tau. Semua ada plan lain. Lastly I suruh Hanim datang jugak no matter what. Kesian dia, have to merempit from Shah Alam.. To kill time before having dinner, petang tu pegi minum free frappe dulu kat Starbuck. Hari makan free sedunia. Hehehe….

We waited till the Earth Hour before making our move to the restaurant. Inside Alamanda walaupun masih berlampu tapi dah malap la. Few shops did switched off some of their light whilst some (especially Guess) but dek aje. Malap aje suasana dalam Alamanda tu tapi macam tak puas coz ada banyak je lampu lain yang boleh dipadamkan but they didn’t. Last-last we all keluar and semua restaurant kat luar tu dah bergelap and pasang lilin. Wah candle light dinner gitu. Big thanks to Starbuck, Nando’s, Big Apple and Cahkri Palace for their full support. As for Manhattan Fish Market, diorang hanya tutup separuh aje so tak merasa la nak bercandle light dinner. We stumbled upon Cik Na (same dept with Shikin) and her husband and invite them to join us too.

The meals was great; we had some tomato soups, Sizzling Louisiana Prawn; delicious whole prawn poached in creamy Louisiana shrimp sauce and it comes with a slice of baguette and Fisherman Giant Fried Platter; fried prawns, fish, calamari, mushrooms with chips and garlic rice. Yummeh! Sangat kenyang and balik dengan perut yang penuh. But it took us ages nak keluar from parking because it was jam packed with pengunjung yang berpusu-pusu nak balik jugak tu.

As for Sunday, nothing much sangat. Morning prepares breakfast for Hanim and when she left, edited some photos yang dah lama tertangguh tu. Wah after this there won’t be any zits around my face lagi. I finally found the tools to remove it. Hehehe…. Orang dah lama tau, I je baru nak main-main with the tools. Petang went to Jusco Equine with Fadroy and bought another pair of shoes. Oh my gila ke apa saya ni. Anyway, after few days of having so much fun, I’m finally broke. Got few hundreds only to last me till the next payday. Sigh……

Semua dapat meal voucher worth RM50 each. Kitorang dapat Starbuck and Manhattan Fish Market. Ada yang dapat JM Beriani, Old Town, Aunty Anne and Secret Recipe. Sape dapat JM Beriani la kesian sebab makanan dah habis. Ah alasan aje tu....

Lupakan saja segala diet-miet itu kerana bukan selalu dapat makan free ni....
