Confirmed! They have to go

I’m down with fever today. But that didn’t stop me from coming to work. Oh the verdict was out; both my lower wisdom tooth need to be removed. The procedure sounded really painful and the cost will burn my whole saving book.

When I said work took over my life, I really mean it. Yesterday when the dentist told the nurse to set up the surgery appointment with me, told her to hold it first coz I need to consult my boss first. Consult my boss first? It’s my teeth; it’s my decision so why should I consult others right? I don’t know; I just had to do that coz most of my work, only I myself know about it. After the surgery, the dentist said it’ll take 1 whole week to recover so that’s mean 2 weeks of me not in the office. And not 2 consecutive weeks; the 2nd surgery will be done 2 weeks after the 1st one. Meaning; went for the 1st surgery, MC for 1 week, work for one week, went for 2nd surgery, MC for another one week and I’m done.

Too many things on my mind now; I haven’t started writing the minutes yet, there’ll be another session of financial instruction thingy, the surgeries, the pain after that and money. I’m seriously broke this time. It’s time to dig my savings yang seciput itu.

Info on wisdom tooth extraction that I read on the net really scares me la; the procedure, the pain and the side effect. Tsk why la has to go through this.

My scaling session went smoothly yesterday. The teeth feels and looks so clean that I feel so sayang to eat. Keep on looking at the mirror from clinic to home. Sket-sket smiling at the mirror, sket-sket smiling at the mirror; as if never did any scaling before… Gilosss

Oh Abah called just now about the surgeries; he told me to consult the government dentist first. At least the cost will not be that expensive. He’s right but I’m afraid I’ve to follow the dentist schedule and not mine where else at private dentist, they follow my schedule. Hmm we’ll se how lah.

To clinic again

I think I’m due for a visit to clinic again, this time a dentist. I thought I don’t have problems with my teeth but apparently I have. 2 weeks ago, I went to a dentist just for some consultation. After checking my teeth, she asked me to get an x-ray done. So last Sunday I went to get an x-ray of my teeth and I saw something bad. No wonder sometimes I would have sore gums at the back there. My wisdom teeth apparently were not in good position. Well I’m 31 and I don’t have wisdom teeth yet.

Oh actually few years ago, when I visited a dentist, she said they might need to dig out my wisdom teeth coz it’s crooked and causes my gum to swell and it might infected my other tooth but I don’t take her too seriously. How I wish I listened to her back then.

Since my visits to the dentist 2 weeks ago, my back gum is swollen and getting painful everyday. Now I’m considering on taking out the wisdom teeth (3 of them) but what I read here really scares me off. It looks really painful with all the description. And the swollen eyes; how I’m going to work then?

Anyway, I got an appointment with dentist this afternoon. Let’s hear what she’s going to say about that.

A visit to clinic

Update of yesterday issue; Called my mom last night and she said she have to decline the promotion offer. Well I believe for every missed opportunity let gone due to some sacrifice, thousand more will come for us to grab. And now will have to pray that no more transfer order will come.

I’m not feeling very well lately. I feel like catching a fever yesterday but thank God I survive, just that I got this sore throat. So not in the mood to neither eat nor talk. And this time, I don’t think a visit to clinic is necessary.

Talking about clinic, my visit to Putrajaya clinic last Tuesday surprises me a bit; that the system is so computerised, that even in the evening, the patients coming is plenty and how friendly the nurses was.

As a first timer, I had to fill up some form and waited for my number to be called for registration. The registration went on smoothly and it took I think less than 5 minutes and I was given a card with barcode on it. Then I have to go to another counter, waited for my number to be called again and this time there was a nurse there screening us. Told her that I got headache so she write the room number at the card and directed me to another place where there were other patients waiting to see the doctor. Here I have to scanned my card and waited for my number to be called again.

Since it’s my first time, I didn’t really know what to do so I asked a nurse at the counter there and she told me to wait for 5 minutes and scanned my card. She asked me on my sickness and told her I got a headache. Told me came back to her after scanning the card coz she wanted to check my blood pressure.

The nurse sat at a counter and so I sat with her and we started talking like we know each other since forever. I thought that the nurse wanted to calm me down before taking the test so I just relax and talk. Indeed my blood pressure is a bit high, the normal systolic/diastolic level is around 120/80 but mine was 130/100. I’m not surprise seeing the number coz it’s not my first time having that. I used to have borderline and some friend still couldn’t understand why I have that at the very young age. Effect of taking everything to your heart it seems.

The queue was long here but I didn’t feel it coz apparently when we talk, time flies so fast. Some patient even mistook me to be one of clinic staff. Hehehe… The consultation with the doctor took less than 10 minutes; she took my blood pressure again, checked my eyes and prescribed me with painkiller. The bottle is still unopened, sitting at the dining table. I’ve stopped taking painkiller for few years now coz I used to eat painkiller like a tic-tac before and it’ll only do more harm to our body actually.

I didn’t go to the clinic for meds; just wanted some check-up. Alhamdulillah the doctor said there’s nothing wrong with my brains coz if there is anything there, she can detect it from my eyes. But if the headache keeps coming back, I have to consult the doctor again. Let just hope and pray that it’s nothing more that just a mere headache.

After consulting the doctor, I have to scan my card at the prescription counter and waited for the pharmacist to call me and prescribed me with whatever meds the doctor prescribed. Very systematic and computerised huh.

Anyway, thanks nurse Kalsom for making my day. Talking with her really does wonder to my headache; it disappears just like that with no recurrence. Thus saving me from putting more pills into my system.

If we treated people with respect, people will treated us with respect too. Everyone is just doing their job and I believe maybe I’ve made the nurse Kalsom day too; being the most talkative patient she ever met. Hahaha…

Promotion = Weekend wife / mom

Something is happening to my mom and I’m sure it’s a big dilemma to her. The good news is that she got promoted to a higher post. And with that, came the bad news too; she’s been transferred to another place, 3 hours drive from home. Even if she did not accept the promotion, she would still be transferred to another place sooner or later, just like her other colleagues.

To move with everyone is quite impossible considering the school and everything but to live on her own at this age is something that she and every one of us dreaded too. My mom is 55 this year and at that age, all kind of sickness alternating every now and then. Who’s going to massage her if she got backache, headache, muscle ache and everything? Who's going to make her drinks or iron her clothes?

And with the schooling expenses and all other expenses, retiring is not an option. My dad pension is not that much to cover everything and what we gave is hardly enough too. Pity my mom. If only I can provide her with everything….

To commute everyday from home is not an option too coz the place is quite far and my dad is not as healthy as he used to be so he can’t drive all the way to and fro the house to her office everyday.

Seems like those at home have to learn on living without mom now. Everyday before going to office, my mom would sweep around the compound and the drainage (for falling leaves), doing the laundry and clean the bathroom. Everyday without fail ok. Well, unless when she’s sick or something. So someone has to take over that routine now and I believe Abah would be the one. Pity both my parents.

If only I’m a millionaire…. I’ll built a big house that everyone can live in it, provide everything for everyone, hired few maid to do all the housework so my parents can just rest and play with the grandchildren, sponsored my parents to go on holiday around the world, endless shopping session and the list go on and on. If only….

For now, I can just pray that everyone will be strong in this trying moment and I pray that Allah would grant us with His love and cares too. This might strengthen the bond too; not that it’s not strong before just maybe it can be stronger. And hopefully my siblings can be more responsible towards doing the house chores and taking care of themselves.

Pity both my parents. Sedih la.

I'm back!

Been so busy these past few weeks with all kind of urgent things and last week I was away doing some financial instruction thingy.

Life has been so hectic that finally after more than 2 years in service, I went to clinic for the first time yesterday. I had this headache that keep coming these past few months but yesterday one was a bit severe. But I didn’t take any MC nor time slip coz I promised a colleague to e-mail some urgent letter. Sigh….. Obviously work took over my life now. And having stomach cramp due to that “first day” added another strain to my weakening body.

Since my last update, these are the things that I did:-

Attending “Puspanita High Tea for Lifetime Members” where I saw some lady Datuk and Datin dancing like nobody business. I even saw Datuk Rahmah, the ex-kay-as-you and the ex-advisor to the minister of this ministry dancing happily and gracefully to each and every song. She really can dance I tell you.

During weekend 2 weeks ago, I attend a birthday party of a friend; and as usual when that sidangmate gathered, it’s a loud business. I made a cocktail; my first time and everyone loves it. Hehehe…

I did my financial instruction thingy somewhere at Kg. Batu, near Batu Caves area. The secretariat suck big time; she obviously didn’t learn any lesson from what happen at Kelantan on February. The participant arrived earlier than her and we had problems with accommodations; we were given dormitories instead of normal room. Yep a dormitories. During the first session that evening, everyone grumbles about the dormitories so they upgraded it to a VIP room. A VIP room with clogged bathroom. Yikes! Banjir di dalam bilik air.

So we moved back to the dormitories. The food was ok but time management is something that the caterer needs to put on practice. I was down with very bad diarrhoea on Wednesday. We were discussing on asset management in which I’m solely in charge so imagine when I have to make a toilet break every now and then and peoples notice ok. Shame only. The discussion ended at 11.30pm everyday.

I went back to Kuantan with Bang Long on that Thursday night. Left Putrajaya around 7.45pm, pick-up Bang Long at Taman Desa and after a few stop, we reached home around 2.30am. Normally it would only take 3 hours drive from Putrajaya to Kuantan but the traffic was slow that night and we stop for dinner somewhere at Gombak.

As usual when at home, I become the laziest person alive. The only thing that I’ll do is folding the clothes. Yes Klynn, I love folding clothes. It’s very therapeutic to me. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will always be served on the table by Mak or Siti or Jannah or anyone else but me. Hehehe….

The little kids were so happy to see us home. It’ll be Pak Long this, Pak Long that, Cik Ngah this and Cik Ngah that all the time. I missed everyone. If only I can see everyone more often. Sigh… Cumat met with accident again and this time he broke his ankle that they need to put some screw into his foot. Hopes he would learn his lesson from this.

Bang Long went back to KL on Saturday and I was supposed to go back on Sunday but I took EL on Monday. I always had that heavy feeling when leaving home; no matter how long I stay, it’ll never enough.

Now I’m back looking at all those papers that keep piling on my desk. I’m supposed to go to Perak today till Friday but I just have to say no this time. Banyak keje and I need some rest.

Can you see the fire at my head?

Work sucks big time yesterday. I was so pissed off that I nearly cried. This is what happened when you took all matters to your heart.

I’ve been busy with all sort of paperwork lately and one of the biggest is audit queries. I don’t know what when wrong but the amounts of queries on asset management are unbelievable. Obviously the auditor is not well versed with the procedure of asset management yet.

I had sleepless night last week thinking about the answer for all the queries. There are 3 big portions under asset matter; asset, storing and transport. I’m handling the 1st one while the other 2 were handled by others.

Once I received the report on audit queries, I’ve reminded the other 2 to prepare the answer. The person responsible on transport matters is a see-see and a pee-pee-tea. Both aged 50 plus; the see-see is a lady whiles the pee-pee-tea in a guy. Apparently both people took things for granted. No one did anything until last Friday.

Since I’m having a meeting at KK on Monday, I have to prepare all the answer by Friday for the exit conference will be held on Tuesday. I finished mine on Friday at 6 plus. As I prepare myself for the meeting, my as-you-bee asked me if I can lend a hand for the answers on transport matter. I was torn in between, angry for I’ve reminded them numerous times to prepare the answer and awry coz I don’t want the boss to think that I berkira kerja. So I stay till night to draft the answer for them. It was a heated session coz apparently someone didn’t do their job. I have to say that I’m so impressed with my level of calmness that day; I didn’t sleep the night before, I was stuck with preparing the answers the whole day and yet it wasn’t me who was pissed off that day. It was the see-see coz the queries obviously showed that she didn’t do what she supposed to do.

I arrived home nearly midnight on Monday. I was a bit grumpy yesterday coz I’m exhausted and yet there’s this exit conference at noon so I can take any leave yet.

To my surprise, the see-see went for a Mentor-Mentee course and she didn’t inform anyone about it. Not even the as-you-bee or her kay-pee-as-you. Try to run away it seem. She didn’t prepares any supportive document to support the draft that I’ve prepares for them and the draft remain as draft.

During the exit conference, I was bombarded with all kind of questions. No one to support me coz my as-you-bee went to greet the new minister and my kay-pee-as-you is still new. I don’t have problem answering my part but transport matter is not my thing so I was not in the know. Those who directly responsible for it ran away; afraid of the exposure on their incompetence it seems.

When I came down, everyone seems to know what I’ve been through so they became a bit supportive. I guess my pee-tea-oo already informed them about. I was supposed to be on leave today but I won’t be in the office the whole week next week so I got till this Friday to finalize everything. I was so angry that I nearly cried when I grumble to a senior pee-tee-oo whose workstation is in front of me. But En. Nasrol was there too so have to control la.

I was still grumpy when I went home yesterday. While taking shower, I nearly cried (yes I always cried during showering) but I suppressed the tears; if I cried it means that everything was my fault and I’m defeated; in which I’m not.

This morning, my as-you-bee asked me; are you ok? My replies; I’m not and I’m angry. Hahaha….

That see-see is nowhere to be seen today; still busy with that Mentor-Mentee it seem. I wonder; can people like that be a mentor? Oh please…. ruining the new seed aje.

Work + work + work = a missed opportunity

Help me… I’m sinking in piles of paperwork that never seem to stop pouring in. I just completed the paper for next week big meeting and now concentrating on preparing the answers for the audit queries in which there will be an exit conference on this Tuesday. Begitu banyak ok. I only got today and tomorrow to prepare for it coz I’m flying away this Sunday.

I’ll be attending a meeting at Kota Kinabalu on Monday. This is my first time going there and yet can stay only for a night. Ceh, tak nak bagi chance langsung. My flight to KK would be on Sunday evening and I’ll be back on that same Monday. Tuesday got to prepare for a war; with auditor.

Oh one bad news to share; got to excuse myself from going to Langkawi for I need to attend a workshop in constructing a financial instruction for our agencies. Bencilah coz I’ve never been to Langkawi before, it’s an international event and that workshop will be held right here in KL. This is what happens when you single-handedly in-charge of a portfolio. Same goes for that audit queries; I’ll be answering all the queries coz I am the only one who know the answer. Sigh….

Oh Langkawi…. when will I set my foot there?

A belated surprise

I was busy doing some work when En. Nasrol came to my place and started asking about something and he sounded extra caring that he makes me wondering. Sometimes we would have dinner together after works but that would be a straight forward discussion. Then Haiza and Naras came and reminded me about the MAS Roadshow tomorrow.

We were chatting about the roadshow when suddenly I saw a hair rising from beside my cubicles. It was Edwin, holding the cakes. Hish, terkejut ok. I was so touched but luckily I didn’t shed any tears. It’s a belated surprise coz apparently they’ve been planning about it since Monday but one thing led to another that finally they did it today.

Thank you everyone for the wishes, surprises, gift and what not. Thank you so much. You all really make my day. Ish sedih la plak. Oh the best part was when the big boss, a JUSA C, sang me a birthday song. Hehehe...

Photos of here and there

The food

One happy birthday girl

Me, Shahmi and Nurul

The guy at the back there, he's not that tall actually. Inilah Kem (tentera) hahaha.....

Comelkan, rasa nak cium-cium. Senyum simpul gitu

What are you looking at?

Birthday treat and another big gift

I think someone has cast a spell on me. Coz I was supposed to be very angry with this fella but I didn’t. Ok actually I am angry towards her but I didn’t want to be emotionally freaky on my birthday so I forgive her. And she did confess that she didn’t sleep at all the night she made me angry. Hahaha…

So, to win my heart back, she took me out for dinner at Manhattan Fish Market last night. It’s a birthday treat also la. We had Sizzling Louisiana Prawn for appetizer and Grilled Gala Platter for 2 as the main course. Since I ordered Iced Lemon Tea, might as well add on asparagus soup for a bottomless drink. Like I can drink that much. Huh.

Obviously the foods were too much for us. She invited her boyfriend halfway thru (he didn’t join in at first coz shy-shy gitu) and still we can’t finish the food. My tummy was already full to the max but she said I ate way too little. Hmm does that mean my tummy already shrinks a bit? Awww I like. Of all the food on the platter, I ate 2 shrimps, 1 calamari, a mouthful of garlic rice, a bite of fish and lots and lots of fries. Thanks for the treat friend.

I got free calls from Maxis but I didn’t have time to call peoples during daytime. Everyone at home already asleep when I called last night so I called Pn. Azura and Sal just to used up the offer. Sal sang a birthday song for me. It was a bit funny coz both imitated the sound of candles blowing in the end.

I’ve been sleeping late these past few days. And with all the workload on my table, I’m pretty exhausted as I write this. And I got a class to attend tonight. Sooo tired la. It’s been so long since I last applied for leave. Nak cuti but got tonne of work la. Sigh…

Nak cutiiiiiiiiiiiiiii…..

On a lighter note; I got a birthday gift from PSM too. A new boss. A man. Younger than me and just got married. Hehehe…(grinning evilly and grinding both palms) time to buli the boss.
